The Telecom Industry in India is one of the fastest growing industries of the country. Over the last few years, it has seen an exponential growth with the mobile subscriber base alone crossing 900 million. With Government of India targeting 100% tele-density by the year 2020 (The overall Tele-density in the country increased from 84.69 per cent at the end of August 2023 to 84.76 per cent at the end of September) along with its flagship programs like the NOFN (connecting 2.5 lakhs gram panchayats through optical fiber cable) and the 100 Smart Cities Project, this sector can only see growth in the near future which will lead to a massive requirement for trained manpower to serve the industry.
The Main challenge the telecom industry faces is with the poor quality of manpower as the current education curriculum, fails to cover certain upcoming newer technologies which are currently under deployment as well as lacks the practical on field exposure. This results in a huge gap between the skill level of an engineering graduate and industry expectations. Course Details
The RCTP Industrial Training Program trains telecom professional for 2G, 3G, 4G/5G, Wi-Fi-6G and OFC with specialization on RF (Radio Frequency) Engineering. The training is imparted through a mix of instructor led classroom Lectures as well as Onsite Field Sessions. Practical Exposure is given in areas such as RF and Transmission Site Survey, Drive Test & Log file Analysis and BTS Installation & Commissioning.
